  • Sorry 4 slow reply been away with alot of school work. If your looking at bocking for travel (ie running/jogging) then you will find the energy required on long runs will end up almost twice as much as running without, however you will definatly cut down the time.

i personaly use them for running alot as it is 10.4km to get to my school and i often run there on stilts which means over 20km in a day. it ushaly takes between 1 hour and 1 & 1/2 hours to cover tht distance for me.

like the other said it will eb alot mroe exhusting. if you dont care about the speed then "skipping" will probibly be one of the better ways for you to travel on them as you can save alot of energy doing it that way.

a couple things to remember... 1. Tyre socks are a great option as youwill burn through a rubber hoof so fast. i got through about 1 tyre sock a trip = 1-2 tyres a week ( i got friend who runs a bike shop so im getting free second-hand tyres which saves alot of $$$), befor i started useing tyre socks i was going through a hoof in a week ( wearing down to the metel)
    2. the second thing you need to rememebr is not to try go to far to begin with start with smaller runs and build up because wehn you get fategued and tired your balanc will start to waver and you will struggle to keep going. for me i can go for about 35km befor this and after 40km its getting dangerious.

I have been useing them for travel for about a year and befor i started i was a road cyclast & mountan running so that should give you a rough idear of the fitness level buildup you need to effectivly travel on these.

  • I can't say much about the CZ-A extremes

DK, I think you will find that these are called Pro-Jump EXO Pro's in the UK.
After 2 years of Kangoo Jumps I decided to add another 30 cm to my height. One of the best decisions I've ever made!

  • I went with the 7 league boots, and OOH BOY!!

There so much fun it's a lot harder then I would have thought though.
It's only been 2 days now since I got them and I have along way to go but thank you again for all the help.

  • I can't say much about the CZ-A extremes but my 7's have not let me down in 4 years apart from a couple of pop rivets popping off but they must have done over 500 miles.

Which leads me on to the topic of jogging. In the same way you'll have to build up your muscles to bounce you have to build up your muscles to jog.

Like any new activity you have to build your strength up, even if you do use a trampoline or go jogging you work slightly different muscles.

When used for travelling you will use more or less the same energy to cover the same distance it'll just be in a shorter time! If you can run a 100 meters in 18 seconds on stilts you maybe able to do it in 14 seconds but you'll feel just as puffed out, you only get out what you put in.

  • Typically, people do not use these for running/jogging. It's just too much effort to put them on and go for jog when in 50 paces you're going to be too tired to go any further. I suggest you try before you buy otherwise it might be a waste of your cash,

  • Hey there everyone just found out about this sport a few days ago so been busy doing all the research I can, watching videos and making some phone calls/emails to a few different sites.

I have narrowed it down to getting a pair of either the 7 League Boots, or the CZ-A Extremes, now what I was hopping for was any pros and cons anyone could help me with in deciding which pair to go with, it's been hell trying to find much info on anything in this sport.

No idea if you need any of my info to help you in "helping me" decide, but I'm 6'3" 220lbs 37 years old and in good shape if that helps one model vs the other, mostly will use for jogging around my lake, and some fun jumping around prob will not be doing the back-flips though, any other info you might need or any info you all can provide would be great.

thank you everyone for any help I'm ready to pull the trigger I just want to make sure the ones I buy will be a great fit for me.

    thank you,

    Ben
