  • That would be quick and simple thing to do but the handle is at knee level and if you can't reach your knee while inside a costume are your safe on your stilts ?

One small problem was where to hang the handle while bouncing but maybe a quick release velcro strap would work.

This was a test version and I have noticed the error in the set up and the cable needs to go to the pivot point of the swinging arm. I did try to hoop the cord around it but it was to tight to slide so had to compromise using a cable like break cable on a bike would solve that problem.

  • Most excellent!

I like the pull-string accessability. Extending the rope further could even allow it to be used through/inside a costume.

This is much better than the 'kick stand' apparatus I was imagining.

  • One of the problems we have while power bocking is that you either need to find something or someone to lean on or come your feet moving.
Most people many not mind this but wouldn't it be nice if you could stand still to use your height to view something or while chatting. I solved this before with the aid of a folding stick but this meant you had to hold it in one hand.

We are able to stand still because we have feet which gives up a bigger base than the small hoofs of our stilts. So the solution would be to make the hoof bigger to give it a bigger base but would make the stilts less dynamic. So what is needed is a make the hoof bigger only when need, I've been thinking about this problem for a while and I believe I have an answer.

Using a piston (TAILGATE STRUTS) rod from a cars rear door hatch I tied it to the angle support and fitted a rubber foot off a walking stick to the end. A cord tied to this end is threaded along the rod up the foot rod and up to the knee bar. A handle on the end of the cord can be pull up and the ring would catch the hook, this is where it is normally held, taking the ring off the hook lets the piston open and the end touch the ground.
This gives you three points of contact with the ground so it should mean you can stand still. Because I'm heavy the piston is a little weak for me but with this set up I managed to stand still for more than five seconds. It may work better if you had these on both stilts but I only had the one so for now I'll see if I can manage to get one to work better.
