  • I'm working on a way to quickly locking and unlocking your normal shoe in place without needing straps. It is based on a variation of a ski lock I've seen.

Has you pointed out have a shoe strapped to the stilt means you have to carry another pair of shoes and if your moving about where to put them while bocking.

  • I'm still considering using snowboarding boots - having been out on my risers for the first time today - I used my quiksilver shoes but could feel my feet moving around in my shoes. I ended up having my laces tied so tight that it hurt my feet after a while.

If I can find a cheap set on ebay I'll give it a try......

  • I just use bindings and havent felt the need for stomp plate or increased ankle covering etc.

  • get the smallest ones they have, and wear big shoes. I think bill C has a method for making small shoes fit into the straps on powerbockresources.com

  • another reason that wouldn't work is you'd have to get much longer straps.  The straps that i got for my risers are off a kids binding for someone with size 5 feet.  and a size 5 snowboard boot binding fits my size 12 shoes perfectly so i'd have to get much longer straps to go around my size 12 snowboard boots

  • yeah i've already PM'd Dom and said that I want a set if he gets anymore, just wondered if there was a reason that no-one seemed to use the boots, but the bulkyness makes sense....
