Poweriser Upgrade!
Opium:
@Cantallian
I'm talking about the calf cuff. Also I'm not wearing any form of knee protection or any protection for that matter. I did find a way around the calf cuff problem, I fold the strap and stuff a fraction of a centimeter into the cushion just below the knee which increases the contact surface area of the velcro and applies pressure to prevent it from coming off.

For what it's worth, after extensive testing of the Flow binding, they decided it was not suitable for use with their product. One of the French resellers has a set of the prototypes and was involved in the testing. He claims they are actually dangerous as they do not keep the heel down adequately. If the rear pivot point had been behind the heel instead of beside it the story may have been different but Poweriser were not going to redesign the foot platform just to accomodate a different binding which would only have been an optional extra in any event.
All this said, if my memory serves me well, there are at least 2 members here who have Flow bindings on their stilts and they seem to be more than happy with them so maybe the real reason is the cost?

Hi All i'm just getting back into the sport after the recent sunny weather we've had in the UK. Came onto the site and saw the topic Poweriser upgrade and thought at last, Poweriser have thought of something new... Eeerm no Velcro and webbing straps over a decent snowboard binding, what a step backwards is all i can say. I thought Poweriser were actually going somewhere when they started talking about a flow style binding.. Thats my 2p anyway
Cantallian:
Are you talking about the ankle strap or the calf cuff?
And if you are talking about the calf cuff, are you wearing knee guards within it?
Opium:
I've noticed that the top velcro strap tends to come loose. This is primarily because to when I tighten the strap enough that the poweriser doesn't have room to fidget, there's very little velcro contact. Essentially I have to choose between a slightly loose strap (which is annoying) or a strap that can come loose at any moment (which is deadly).
Are there alternatives other than the old buckle system to the current velcro system?
