Hi JT..
The Softer one might be Broken though.. Springs can break day 1 .. even just a little bit it can make it soft in various ways. If its still too soft after you switch you might need a new pair of springs to replace them :-(
Good luck! :-)
Yup thats what i had to do, can storage affect springs too? I usually keep them in my trunk...temperature may be a factor too maybe?
I've never found temperature to effect them all that much. Unless it's below freezing out. Then the springs are stiffer. I've stored my springs in hot environments and never noticed anything unusual happen to them. But I always wear a spring out faster then the other. For me it's because I tend to jump with one foot and land with my weight more on my dominate leg. This tends to wear it faster. If they aren't to soft yet you can swap legs and even it out. But you'll notice if it's to soft, when I've switched legs at that point it seriously unbalances me.

I'm moving back south again before fall. So in theory it'll work out. I think we should just set a date and not change it. I'll buy my plane ticket well in advanced this time. This meet was looking like it'd cost nearly 500 dollars to just fly there. Which was really what stopped me from coming. If we pick a date in advanced and I'm able to get something affordable I won't have to back out. Though I'll be moved to either Chattanooga or back to Savannah by then so driving will be an option again.

I had to cancel towards the end due to financial issues. I'm not sure if anyone other then the locals made it to the event or not. It looks like this years Stilt meet ups for the USA was a bust, with me being the only out of towner for Bock the South and not hearing any regulars making it to this. It's sad.

No worries, I've bocked with loads of newbies. But I'll toss you a message whenever I have a trip with time for a detour.

Bock the South didn't have much of a turn out this year so no worries. What part of kentucky are you at? I travel through every couple months to visit friends down south. I used to live in Tennessee and Georgia.

I have a final write up I'll be posting eventually. I'm late on it, I know. Life got busy but I'll get it up shortly.

So Bock the South was basically myself for a couple hours. Then Doug from town showed up for a couple hours, and then newbie nicholas from town showed up to learn to walk.
I'm disappointed that no one else from out of town came and ended up canceling the second day of Bock the South. Given this turn out and the sheer length of drive it took. I do not know if I'll be hosting Bock the South 2013.
But at the least we three had fun.

Yeah, that's another thing I forgot to mention. I get loads more height on the olympics because I pretty much bottom constantly.

That is very unfortunate.

Thanks guys. I already have it tightened as much as it will go without stripping the threads so I will see if I can figure out some kind of modification.
Another thing annoying me is the hooves. I find the 2 bolts keep coming loose and while I have them very tight to begin with I'm scared to overtighten them in case the metal lugs in the hooves work their way out which is what they did on the previous version.
I will add that I'm just trying them out to see what they are like and so far, despite them being much lighter than my 7's I seriously cannot notice any difference when using them. What I mean by that is when I put my 7's on again afterwards they do not feel the slightest bit heavier. Opinions XD and XS?
I honestly don't notice a difference in weight while using them. The 7s are heavier, but I've never really noticed in use. The only reason why I know is because the Olympics advertised as being lighter. As for other differences, I get more height in the olympics. But my center of gravity is tilted slightly forward in the air. No big deal, it just takes some adjusting. In a dream world I'd like to see 7s make their own version of the olympic model. 7s for sure have a better build quality.

Well bock the south is this weekend! Who's ready to jump around down south and feast on a low country boil afterwards?

I was never able to get the clamp tight enough for cuffs with just the clamp. My bars still slipped, so I ended up tightening it with some pliers, and wrapping the cuff bar in tape to gain more grip.
That worked, but after a week I bent the cuff bar instead of it sliding around.
After trying out the 7s cuffs for a while I'm certain though my problem was due to the bars length. I had it nearly full extended, so at that height it's more prone to slipping/bending, since the clamp is gripping at the bottom of the bar.

Great job showcasing the progression of everyone jumping and tricking more to the build up of the song.
